Wireless Communications Senior ASIC/Architect |
| JOB DESCRIPTION |
Altierre is seeking a senior communications ASIC Architect with strong domain knowledge in wireless LAN SOC ASIC design and implementation. The candidate will work alongside a team of systems architects from other disciplines (DSP, software, systems hw) to develop customer-specific and application-focused technical proposals. The candidate will refine architecture proposal to generate detailed technical specifications that support the ASIC design and development process. The candidate will work hands on through the full ASIC development process from specification, design, coding, verification, physical implementation, and tape out of GDS database. Work closely with verification team members to develop verification plans and actively participate in the debug phase. The candidate shall also produce white papers, application notes, and, other technical collateral as required to assist both internal and external gain understanding of product capabilities. |
EXPERIENCE/
QUALIFICATIONS |
Master degree in EE or CS with at least 7 year relevant industry experience.
•Proficient in MAC layer and overall WLAN architecture for WiFi, Zigbee networks
• Experience in high-performance, low power ASIC design. Good understanding of contemporary ASIC methodologies and flows.
• Hands-on knowledge of HDL (Verilog, systemVerilog) and scripting languages. Strong RTL coding and debugging skills.
• Solid understanding of simulation based verification, including self checking test benches, and random stimulus generation.
• Expertise in Micro-architecture specification and design for high volume low cost / low power products.
• Very strong written and verbal communications skills
• Experience in physical implementation of IC, including synthesis, static timing, and design partitioning. |
