Mike Heschel joins Altierre's board of advisors

Former Kroger’s CIO Adds Retail IT Expertise

San Jose CA, May 17, 2007— Altierre Corp., a provider of wireless infrastructure solutions for retailers, announced today that veteran information technology (IT) and former Kroger’s CIO Mike Heschel, Ph.D., has joined the company’s board of advisors.

Prior to his retirement in 2006, Heschel was executive vice president and chief information officer for the Kroger Company, one of the nation’s largest retail grocery chains. He is credited with shaping Kroger’s entire IT strategy, as well as overseeing all of its management information systems services, logistics and reengineering projects during his 15-year tenure with the company.

Prior to joining Kroger, Heschel held senior leadership posts at Security Pacific National Bank, Baxter International, Inc., American Hospital Supply Corporation, FMC Corporation, and Boeing Aircraft Company. In addition to holding M.B.A and M.S.I.E. degrees, Heschel was awarded a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. He earned numerous honors during his career including Information Systems Executive of the Year and Logistics Officer of the Year.
